St. Marys City Schools has a tradition of academic excellence due to the dedication and pride from staff, students, parents and community members. Our students education starts at home and is cultivated in classrooms, on playing fields and in auditoriums. St. Marys Schools instill the work-ethic and competitiveness which inspires the confidence for students to become positive members of society.

St. Marys District consist of five school buildings with an approximate enrollment of 2,000 students, 140 teaching staff members and 9 Administrators.

K - 2 East Primary School 430 students

3 - 5 West Intermediate School 435 students

6 - 8 Middle School 480 students

9-12 Memorial High School 670 students

18 Honors Classes;

Art, English I, II, III & IV, Latin I & II, Spanish III & IV, Geometry, Algebra II, Calculus, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry I & II, American History and American Government

12 College Credit Plus Classes;

Academic Reading/Writing, Great Books-Literature, Comparative Literature, Research & Argument, College Algebra, Elementary Stats, Dynamic Earth, Sustainable Earth, Intro to Psychology, Intro to Sociology, Western Civ to 1500 and The West and the World.

15 Vocational Education Classes (Tri Star);

Agricultural Mechanics, REC Tech, Career Based Intervention, Early Childhood Development and Education, Graphic Communications, Interactive Media, Med Prep, Vet Tech, Automotive Technology, Health Information Technology, Construction, Engineering Technology/CAD, Marketing and Distributive Ed., Precision machining and Welding.

Project SEARCH Transition Program

Students with disabilities can participate in a unique, business-led, one year, school to work program in the workplace. This facilitates a combination of community job training curriculum, career exploration, and relevant job skills training through strategically designed internships.
