Rider Families,
Wow! What an experience our first summer meal pickup of 2025 was! In the first hour, our small, but mighty, team distributed over 400 meal packs (for a total of 4,000 meals)! (For anyone doing the math, that’s approximately 67 meals per minute!)
We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we worked through a few first-day kinks! This was our first year serving meals at just 1 location and with the new QR code system. We’ve made a few tweaks to help the process go smoother in the future.
Next week, we are moving Station 1 (QR codes) to the South side of the Intermediate School (the side with the soccer field and playground) and plan to have 2 QR scanners set up. If you are picking up meals, please enter via Spring Street, loop around the bus loop, and then drive around the building to station 1. Any overflow traffic should line up on Spring Street. We've also extended meal pickup to 1pm.
While we will do our best to keep the line moving, please note that it takes time to move hundreds of cars through the pickup line. Meal pickup begins at 11am and will continue for as long as needed to provide meals to anyone who is in line by 1:00pm.
Meal signups for June 10th are open at www.smriders.net/summer25. Menus for the June 10th meal pickup are available at https://5il.co/3i183. Please contact Jennifer Sandberg at 419-300-1417 or jennifer.sandberg@smriders.net with questions.
