Technology plays a vital role in education, careers, and everyday life. From digital communication and collaboration to online research and creative tools, students must be equipped to navigate the digital world with confidence and responsibility.

At St. Marys City Schools, we are committed to integrating technology into every classroom experience. Our goal is to prepare students to meet the digital demands of today and tomorrow by providing reliable, hands-on access to devices and online learning tools.

Technology Access Across Grade Levels

Grades K–5: Students have access to iPads, Chromebooks, and desktop computers for classroom use.
Grades 6–12: The district has implemented a 1:1 Chromebook Program, ensuring every student has a dedicated device for learning.

Program Timeline

Our 1:1 Chromebook initiative began during the 2018–2019 school year with Chromebooks issued to all 6th and 9th graders. The program expanded in 2019–2020 to include grades 6, 7, 9, and 10.

By the 2021–2022 school year, every student in grades 6–12 received a personal Chromebook, completing our full 1:1 implementation across the Middle School and High School.

Chromebook Loan Agreement

All students participating in the 1:1 Chromebook Program are required to follow the rules and responsibilities outlined in the official Chromebook Loan Agreement.
