2020 Summer Activities (Week of July 27th)

Monday, July 27th
Homemade Volcano with Mrs. Speckman
Who doesn't love a hand-on science experiment you can do at home with ingredients you probably already have in your cupboards? Join Mrs. Speckman, the cross-categorical teacher at West Intermediate School, as she shows you how to make a volcano! Share your pictures on social media using #RiderSummer2020.

   
You'll need the following ingredients:
  
Volcano 
1 1/2 cups of flour 
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon of oil
 
Lava
Vinegar 
Baking soda 

Helpful hint: put it on foil on a baking sheet for less mess!
