St. Marys City Schools Superintendent Howard Overman announced that the district’s Winter Walk program will begin Monday, October 2, 2017. Begun in 1990, the Winter Walk program is a free service offered by the school district which provides adult residents of the community the opportunity to walk for exercise during the winter months. This year’s program will conclude on Monday, April 30, 2018.
According to Mr. Overman, “This program has been well attended during the past 27 years. It is a service we are very pleased to offer to our community.”
Doors will be unlocked for walker access on Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the St. Marys Intermediate School (West), at St. Marys Primary School (East), St. Marys Middle School and Memorial High School.
