Sweetest Day Flower Sale. Today is the last day to order your Sweetest Day flowers for $1.00 at both lunches. You can purchase white for secret admirer, yellow for wild and crazy, pink for friendship and red for love. All tags must be turned in by the end of second lunch, so the flower order can be placed. Delivery will be October 17th, in time for Sweetest Day. Don’t miss out on letting your friends know you care.
OGT Calculators. The new OGT calculators are now in and available in the main office for $12.00 each.
Volunteer Activities. We still need several volunteers for the Historical Walk. If you helped before or want to help this time, sign up in the guidance office. On Oct. 11th, students who are artistic are needed to paint signs for the community Walk with Nature. If you are interested in helping out, please stop by the guidance office.
Sister City Youth Exchange Applications. Applications are in the main office for the Sister City Youth Exchange program to Japan for next summer. Please see Mrs. Riesen for the application for this opportunity to represent St. Marys in Japan. Applications are due back October 15.
Mock Presidential Election. Memorial high School will be conducting a Mock Presidential Election this year to find out who is the student choice for President of the United States. The Mock Election will be held during the week before the real general election in November. In order to vote in this Mock Election, you must register this week in either your English, OWE, Night Academy, American Studies or American Government classes. Remember, if you don’t register ahead, you cannot vote on Election Day!
The St. Marys Community Public Library will be the scene of an After-Hours Program for teens in grades 7-12 on Friday, October 10, from 7:00 to 10:00PM. Bring your friends for a Library Lock-Down with free activities and food, plus a movie
Swim/Dive Team. Students interested in joining the swim/dive team this year, please sign up in the main office. There will be a meeting on October 28 for those interested.
Wrestling. Anyone wishing to go out for wrestling this year must have a physical on file in the athletic office. If you do not have one, stop in the athletic office and pick one up. There will be open mats tonight at 7:30p.m. in the multipurpose room for anyone not in a fall sport.
There will be a TNT Spirit Club Meeting in Mrs. Frye’s room Tuesday after school.
The St. Marys Community Youth Center opens Tuesday, October 14. There will be tutoring from 3:30 to 5:30 with the Youth Center opened from 7:00 to 8:30.

FCCLA members. You must meet tomorrow (Friday) at 8:00a.m. outside of Mrs. Clune’s room to be ready to leave for the District FCCLA meeting. Please bring a couple of dollars to buy food.

Congratulations to the DECA students who participated in the District 16 Competition at Ohio Northern University. Those who earned trophies include Eric Simons, first place – Marketing Test; Rob Dorsten, first place – Math Communications Test; Dan Roberts, third p lace – Math Communications Test; Abbie Spencer, third place – Job Interview; Ashley Bubp, third place – Public Relations and Zach Albert & Cory Dammeyer, fourth place – Team Management. Also participating at ONU were: Chelsea Moore, Cayla Morgan, Micah Lutz, Aaron Homan, Katie Heitkamp, Eric Rohrbach, Sam Manning, Paul Pfenning and Michael Wiley. Congratulations DECA!
Congratulations to the Girls Soccer Team for clinching St. Marys first ever WBL Title last night. The girls defeated Elida 1-0, finishing with an overall record of 14-1-1. The seniors playing in their last home game were Brittany Lauth, Sara Wolfe, Katie Heitkamp, Alysia Nagel and Megan Schlater.
The girls volleyball team defeated Kenton last night on the road with a score of 3-0. Congratulations!

The JV Football team defeated Van Wert last night 53-0. Kyle Puschel and Justin Thomas each scored 3 times and Allan Broyles scored twice. On defense, Logan Dietsch had 2 interceptions and Ben Schamp had a fumble recovery. With the win, the Riders are now 5-1-1.
Freshmen football played St. Henry and won 22-8.
