“The Pride of St.
Marys,” the St. Marys “All-Brass” Marching Band is proud to be one of the few
high school “All-Brass” Marching Bands in the State of Ohio. All incoming high school woodwind players switch
to a brass or percussion instrument, provided by the Board of Education and an
active Band Parents Organization. The celebrated their 50th anniversary during
the 2004-2005 school year by participating in the 2005 Smoky Mountain Music
Festival in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge,

Each
year, the marching band participates at many area activities, including the
Celina Lakefest Parade, St. Marys SummerFest Parade, Auglaize County Fair,
other community events, as well as all “Roughrider” football games. They
perform five different halftime productions each fall, working to perfect
approximately 20 different songs per marching season. In addition, they appear
each year at Marching Band festivals throughout Northern and West Central Ohio,

Emily Schaaf, a 2001 MHS grad.
Percussion Instructor is Josh Hughes, also a 2001 graduate of MHS. Majorette instructor is Ashlie Rowen.
