Overview
The St. Marys Memorial High School Alumni Foundation is a charitable organization whose primary goal is to build an endowment for the St. Marys City Schools. The St. Marys MHS Alumni Foundation is a component fund at the St. Marys Community Foundation.
The St. Marys Memorial High School Alumni Fund will be used to:
- Support educational programs and activities of the St. Marys City School District
- Support the renovation and remodeling of buildings owned and operated by the St. Marys City Schools
- Support the construction of any new buildings or facilities for the St. Marys City Schools
- Establish, maintain and administer a St. Marys City Schools Hall of Fame for the following areas: Athletic, Academic/Professional Achievement, Military Service, and Service to the St. Marys City Schools.
Membership
Membership in the St. Marys MHS Alumni foundation is open to both MHS graduates and non-MHS graduates. Lifetime membership costs only $20 and entitles you to one free entry in all raffles sponsored by the MHS Alumni Foundation.
MHS Alumni Foundation Hall of Fame
Academic/Professional Achievement: A graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School who has distinguished him/herself for their outstanding academic or professional achievements. Any person nominated for this hall of fame must be nominated at least four years post – graduation from St. Marys Memorial High School.
Athletic Achievement: A graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School who has distinguished him/herself for their outstanding athletic endeavors while attending Memorial High School, a college or university, or in professional athletics. Any person nominated for this hall of fame must be nominated at least four years post – graduation from St. Marys Memorial High School.
Service to St. Marys City Schools: A person who has distinguished him/herself by their superior service to the St. Marys City Schools in any capacity. A person nominated for this honor need not have attended nor graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School.
Military Service to Country: A person who attended and/or graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School, who has distinguished him/herself by their superior military service to the United States, and who was honorably discharged, retired from said service, or if applicable, killed in action in the line of duty.
Hall of Fame Nominations
The Alumni Foundation relies on the public to submit nominations of worthy individuals for the Committee to consider for induction. Please take some time to let us know who you think should be inducted to the St. Marys Memorial High School Alumni Foundation Hall of Fame, and why. Nominations will be accepted through May 31st.
